The true story about the Tuskegee experiment. From 1932 until 1972, when a whistleblower stepped forward, the US government conducted medical research on poor black men in Macon County, Alabama. Told from the viewpoint of a black nurse, Miss Evers was sent to help with the study of the disease of syphilis. At first, excited to help the patients, but 10 years, 20 years....40 years later comes the shocking revelations of what was really happening, or more clearly, what wasn’t.
