Board of Education decision to her son's struggles in a predominantly white school system. An award-winning interdisciplinary scholar of education and Black history, challenges the idea that school integration was beneficial for Black children. It critically examines how the implementation of integration often led to the decimation of Black school systems and did much disservice to the Black community.
