At first, I was apprehensive because of the topic of slavery. Some books depict horrifying accounts of brutality. But, although parts told of such atrocities, this story was ...do I dare say, heartwarming. A young man whose love for a horse gave him the opportunity to succeed as a trainer, and ultimately as a hero.
