And Your Name is Jonah
Even though this was an older film, produced in 1979 many of the challenges seen, still exist today. The film depicted the challenges of hearing parents and the obstacles they face raising a child who is deaf. Misconceptions and stereotyping still exist today in our hearing world . I would highly recommend this film . This film should be mandatory for all future educators to be exposed at minimum to the language used by the majority of deaf people and deaf culture, Very well done and such a timeless movie.

Excellent Movie & Assignment
This movie is still timely in so many ways. This assignment was stimulating and led to pondering multifaceted but related topics such as the Medical/Pathological model, linguistic oppression, language deprivation, deaf ed, language access, the benefits of visual language, and the richness of the Deaf Community. This course was thought-provoking and I highly recommend it.
